4 February 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ The greatest joy, fulfilment and freedom comes from being obedient to God’s Word. Delight in the Lord at all times and He shall fulfils the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. The world keeps wanting more for oneself in order to be happy but discovers it’s meaningless and sad at the end of one’s life but the Kingdom of God keeps needing less so that one has more to sow, to give and to bless. Biblical wisdom teaches us not to get into debts but to steward our lives according to God’s principles.

There is a famous saying,” We buy things we don’t need with the money we don’t have to impress the people we don’t like.” Biblical stewardship is important to live a fulfilling life. Deuteronomy 28 reveals the blessings and curses of God, reminding us that God is not looking at what we have but who we are in Christ. Obedience is better than sacrifice. God desire for us to live a spiritual and godly life, not just a physical one. Moses is the classic example of a man who could have it all but choose to obey God and was blessed. The Lord told him,” Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬-‭2‬. ‭

Prayer: O Lord my God, I proclaim that I will be a lender and shall borrow from none. Lead me with thy wisdom to steward my finances biblically and use me to be a sower and not a borrower. I shall serve God and not mammon, and I shall be fruitful in 2023 to multiply. For I shall do all things for the glory to God, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
