Today’s Inspiration: “And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Exodus 33:19 NIV. There is power in the presence of God. This year is to rebuild our closet with God and restore the broken altars that the enemy had destroyed. 1 Kings 18:30. God’s goodness is so powerful that Moses countenance was even fully transfigured in God’s presence. God was Moses’ resting place and his only closet for the plans and purpose for the Israelites. His dependence was fully on God, not on man or idols or things.
The path and key into the presence of God is humility. Moses was the most humble man on earth and encountered God face to face. Numbers 12:3. God looks not at our appearance but at the depths of our hearts. He will not answer prayers of a sinful man but will respond to a repentant, contrite and undivided heart. Wisdom comes from the reverence of the Lord Most high. You will not know your purpose until you fully engaged in presence of God like Moses. You may be facing a great challenge in your life be it a critical illness or dire situation like Moses when plagues and enemies pursued him and his people. But He pursued God and His presence in worship and prayer. Pursue the presence of God in 2023. Get alone with Him.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let I not pursue the things of the world or lay my hope on man. You are my pursuit and the joy of my salvation. My desire is your dwelling place and your presence. Fill me with thy Holy Spirit and lead me deeper into your divine peace and wisdom. I am created to be carrier of your presence and to be your witness. All your goodness and loving kindness shall follow me through the days of my life as I dwell in the house of God forever, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
