Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Proverbs 14:29-30 NIV. One of the the greatest fruit in the Spirit is Patience. Why do we get angry quickly? Anger has caused many homes to be dysfunctional, children to be delinquent and marriages to be broken. Patience has the power to break the momentum of frustrations, anger and looses the foothold of the devil. Ephesians 4:27. Patience is an attitude of Christ who provides prudence in all matters of life.

Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19. Remember that all good things in the Kingdom comes slow unlike the world who wants it fast. The first attribute of love is Patience. All good things comes out from it, like best art pieces, sculptures, food, technology, architecture, research and relationships. It took Noah 100 years to build the Ark, Abraham 99 years to have Isaac, Moses 80 years to deliver the Israelites. You can’t enjoy a garden by running past it, nor building a relationship by ranting daily. Remember this, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.” Proverbs 15:1-2 Wisdom emerges from patience.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my spirit be patient even though things or people may not always turn out what I want them to be. Pour forth your Holy Spirit upon me to be still and slow to anger. At times of chaos, quieten my heart and lead me to hear your still small voice. I believe you are in the boat and listening to my prayer in the storm, and with patience you will take me to the other side to see the promised land, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
