3 January 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.“ Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬. What do we pursue in life is a key reflection of our spiritual growth? Are they the things of the world or of the Kingdom of God? Do we serve God or serve Mammon? Jesus taught,”No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.“Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭24.‬ ‭

Godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭10.‬ ‭ Therefore, let’s be a pursuer of Christ Jesus, who serves God only.

Prayer: O Lord my God, your grace is sufficient for me and Christ is my Jehovah Jireh, my provider of all things. Let 2024 be a year of seeking you first and your kingdom of righteousness and love. Let I not pray for what I want but to pray for what you have desired for my life and family. Let godliness and contentment be my attitude of gain and let thanksgiving be my daily bread, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
