Today’s Inspiration: Which pattern of life are you walking? “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2.
So we either draw closer to the World’s lust and temptations or to the Kingdom’s love and transformation. Jesus was also tempted by the devil three times in Matthew 4 so Christ knows our daily challenges.
To break the pattern of this world is to follow the pattern of God’s Word. A Kingdom life has her pattern, routines, and engagements. When did you last join a life group fellowship, bible study, prayer meeting, evangelistic outreach or mission? A Kingdom life begins with the heart of God, the compassion of Christ, and the joy of the Holy Spirit. The world is broken, dark and desperately needed a healer to mend the broken hearted, bring hope to the poor, and heal the sick. Psalm 147:8.
Life is temporal but the Kingdom of God is eternal. In the family, we can all do our part to be like Christ, not just in the Church. Candidly I remind myself that God has more CCTVs outside the church. It’s not just how we worship in the church but how we live a life of worship outside the church. Our family can only follow Christ if they see Him in us.
Prayer: O Lord My God, this day I choose to follow your Kingdom pattern by your Word. Remove any worldly pattern in my life that I may be free from sins, temptations and addictions. Forgive my worldly ways, and guide me into your everlasting kingdom life, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
