Today's Inspiration: Our prayer this morning to the Father of Love is to ask Him to open our eyes to see wonderful things in His word which we have never seen before. This was the prayer of David. Psalm 119:18. It is His eternal word that judges your thoughts and actions. Nothing can be compared to His word that brings life to your mortal body and nourishment to your soul. A thousand words may have been spoken to you but one word matters from the Father of Love is the word "Hope'.

Let us allow God to provoke or thoughts this morning to the Lord's question in Mark 8:37 where it is written therein a question to you as to what you can give in exchange for your soul. Mark 8:14 is another thought to provoke this morning as you start your day's work this morning.

The disciples had forgotten to bring bread that morning yet there was one loaf they had in their boat. Jesus used this as an opportunity to narrate to the crowd indicating one loaf is enough for them and to watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod. V15. That one loaf is Jesus Himself the Living Bread of Life from heaven, who gives life to their mortal body and nourishment to their soul. Anyone who eats of it will have have eternal life. John 6:51, 56. It is also an indication that the disciples easily forgotten the miraculous works He has done and will flee in times of persecution and leaves Him alone in the boat (ministry). No teaching is eternal except that from the Bread of Life. Jesus forwarns this to His disciples whose mind is always on the physical food they can see rather than on their eternal destiny they cannot see.

He was speaking to the crowd at the synagogue in Capernaum. It was hard teaching and his disciples grumbled as to who can accept such teaching. V60. Jesus was aware of what the disciples were grumbling about themselves and ask if they want proof that He as the Son of man ascend to where He was before. V62. Jesus knew every heart of man for He created and formed them. He knew who would believe and who would betray Him. V64. He reminded the disciples of His word to them that no one can come to Him unless His Father draws them to Him. V65. His teachings should unveil greater Revelation to you to know Him deeply what is in His heart. Yet man may doubt and did not believe and left Him.

When He asked His disciples if they would leave Him also. V66-67 Peter was able to stand up and ask a question as to who they should go for only He has the eternal truths of eternal life and that He is the Son of the Living God, the Holy One of God. V68-69. Jesus knows ahead of time who would believe Him and stood up to say that He will be betrayed by one disciple. v70.

Scriptures cannot be read on the surface but requires a Revelation from God as to what His inner heart is speaking to us for He spoke and revealed only to those who loved in reverent awe of Him. God be praised. Blessed is the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8.

Prayer: Lord open my eyes to see a greater Revelation of You that I might proclaim boldly to the crowd what is in Your heart that they may all know You from the smallest to the greatest. Amen.
