Today’s Inspiration: “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” Proverbs 20:5 NIV. In this season with just 34 days to the end of 2022, let’s not get busy but get closer and deeper for God’s revelation for 2023. Prophet Jeremiah prophesied,” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13. The prophet reveals to us that the creation has to seek the creator for His plans, just as every purpose of the pottery from the potter. For the Israelites to survive in the desert, they need to seek God for their destiny.
All instructions of God comes from the prayer altar of one’s soul just as Moses has to go up to Mount Sinai. Our intimacy and relationship with God brings forth not just revelation but also the anointing and plans of God. God’s Word and Works operates together with details and wonders. However, a sacrifice in the desert is required. Romans 12:1. Strangely all patriarchs discovered God’s plan in the desert places. Abram in Negev, Isaac in the desert, Moses in the wilderness, David in the cave, Jonah in the whale, and even our beloved Christ in Gethsemane. If you are feeling tired and weary after a whole year of work and ministry, it’s time to lay all down and enter into His rest for a longer duration. Matthew 6:6. Be set apart for the Lord and you shall find Him without phones, zooms, WhatsApp, social media or any wired things. We have to be unwired with the world to be wired unto God. Let the Holy Spirit refresh and renew your spirit, soul and body.
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the river that flows in my desert places, you are the pathway that see me through the forest of the world. Let me draw close to your presence and to seek your will and purpose for 2023. May I draw insights from your deep waters as I enter into your rest and restitution, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
