Today’s Inspiration: “May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.” Psalm 67:4-7. The reverence fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding because it brings forth humility and honour.
Sin brings curses by the enemy but salvation and sanctification through Jesus Christ brings blessings from God. John 17:17. The pride of life brings insecurities, lies, anger and fear into one’s life. Most failures, conflicts and struggles in life come from Pride. We in anguish want to be right and prove others wrong. Isn’t this rampant in social media today? It was pride in Cain that killed Abel in Genesis. Pride is self-centred but humility is Christ-centred. Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 16:18. The root of pride is fear and insecurities and it has to be uprooted from our lives. Let God be true and every man a liar. Romans 3:4. Humility brings healing, wisdom and honour from God into our lives. Proverbs 18:12. Few people pray to rid off pride so let’s humble ourselves and pray for the Lord shall lift us up.
Prayer: O Lord my God, I humble myself before you and confess the lust of eyes, my flesh and the pride of my life. I am a sinner saved by grace and all my self justifications are filthy rags, for only your Word is the way, truth, and life. Let thy meekness and gentleness manifest in my soul and restore me into your image and everlasting ways. Guide me Holy Spirit in Jesus' Name, Amen.
