28 January 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.” Psalms‬ ‭92‬:‭12‬-‭14‬. ‭The righteous are peacemakers and children of God. Wisdom comes in making peace, resolve, and unity in all situations and circumstances. James 3:18. How do we stay refresh, renew, and recharge in the Spirit daily? Prophet Isaiah spoke,” Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬.

Our past hurts, abuse and fears can hinder us from advancing forward in life. Only Christ can bring healing and renewal in our hearts and minds to be refreshed and recharged in the Spirit. Romans 12:2. Young David was only a shepherd boy but he made the Lord his dwelling and followed his mother’s devotion to worship God. Psalm 86:16. Despite verbal abuses and ostracism from the family, it didn’t stop him from pursuing God and His divine plans and wisdom. The difference between Saul and David was the relationship with God. Saul sees Goliath as the problem but David sees him as the opportunity to glorify God. Saul looks at his own ability but David looks at God’s testimony over the lion and the bear. Saul looks at acceptance by people around him but David seek only the acceptance by God. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, change my heart and renew my mind to seek and sought you. I believe you are bringing new things and breakthroughs into my life. My hope is found in nothing less than Jesus’s blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweet frame but wholly lean on Jesus Name. For you are the way, truth and life in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
