Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. A rebuke impresses a discerning person more than a hundred lashes a fool.” Proverbs 17:9-10 NIV. Sound doctrine of the scriptures always bring corrections, rebuke and encouragement. 2 Timothy 4:2. Today we observed that many parents are lacking discipline on their children because busyness and when they have time with their children, they use gifts and materials things to satisfy them. In this era, we can see even in the public that babies and children are parented by devices rather than advices. Families have lost the art of communication just as one has a broken altar before God. Remember this, we can’t text or WhatsApp God.
We need to seriously consider building our personal and family altars with discipline. Without knowledge and revelation we cast off restraints. Proverbs 29:18. Without discipline by the Word of God, there is no love and relationship. Our Abba father says,” My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. Proverbs 3:11-14. No one can achieve much or has good success without discipline, truth and love. It’s time to reflect and renew our relationship with God and others.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my heart be humble, obedient and teachable always. Let I break off from all sinful habits, attitudes and behaviours which hinders good friendship and communication. Let your word be the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Let your love and discipline keep me in your way, truth and life to be more like Christ. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
