Today's Inspiration: We need to be like Jacob who was not willing to let go of the angel of the Lord till He blessed him. Genesis 32:26. Sometimes you don't need to come to the Lord with long prayers. Most prayers are answered by crumbs of prayer. Jabez just prayed one sentence prayer in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. It covers 4 things - he asked for blessings, enlargement of his territory, His hand of protection and to keep him from evil.
The word 'bless me' means a lot. To bless in Hebrew means supernatural favor. When we ask God for blessing we are asking God for unlimited goodness that only God has the power to give to us. The Lord's blessing is our greatest wealth. Proverbs 10:22. There is no sorrow added. God granted him his request.
We should desire what God meant to give to us. Jacob asks for blessing and was protected from his brother Esau who was transformed from hatred to forgiveness. In addition, God bless Jacob more than what he inherited from his ancestors- the land of Goshen an Abundant fruitful land protected from the devil and all plagues of Egypt besides the ancestors inheritance. Genesis 49:16.
May your prayer be fine-tuned to the heart of God. Be confident in your prayer that you may be blessed beyond measure. As Passover is approaching and March is a season of overflowing cup, ask for your blessing and plant your best fruit to God on this Passover. May you be fruitful and multiply! God be praised.
Prayer: Lord teach me to pray the right prayer that touched your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
