Today's Inspiration: The Lord is your light and salvation. Whom shall you fear? The Lord is the defence of your life. Whom shall you dread? Psalm 27:1. Wait for the Lord and be strong. Let your heart take courage and wait upon the Lord. V14.
Waiting upon the Lord means to seek Him with all your heart to fulfill His wise counsel. We need to be sensitive to His voice. In my early years of ministry I had to wait for 6 months before I could hear His voice telling me that if I don't work I will not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10. At that time I was clueless what He wants me to do. I knew He called me to publishing ministry but I have no specific instructions as to how to relate to this calling.
There are some of us here who have been waiting for ages for Him and still not sure of the calling. We need to open our ears to listen. As I took a step of faith to explore, the calling becomes so clear with jobs coming in to be published. That was my first calling. It remains with me until today even though my ministry has spread to the Nations except now I only focus on writing for the Lord. Let your eyes be continually focused on the Lord for He is the One who pluck your feet from the net. Psalm 25:15. Therefore when you seek the Lord be sensitive with your ears opened and your eyes focused on your calling. He will not abandon you.
How did Moses overcome his fears at the time of calling? I believe the burning bush would have made him bold as a lion as it illuminates our heart to one of joyously serving. Another was that he was totally dependent on the Lord and made Him his partner in ministry of his calling. This gives rise to the many victories he won for the Lord. Thirdly he had Aaron his brother to complement his weakness. Fourthly he was ever seeking the Lord and desires to see His glory. He even said if the Lord will not go with him, he will not go. God loves the attitudes of this heart who consistently seek Him for help.
If you are still hesitant on the calling, I pray that God will send you a partner in ministry to complement your weakness so that together you could easily accomplish the mission. God be praised.
Prayer: Lord make me the instrument You desire me to be that I could forever praise you and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
