Today's Inspiration: Satan can only control you by your thoughts. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth. Psalm 25:10. Let your eyes be always upon the Lord so that you will not be easily ensnared.
John 4:31 Jesus told His disciples that He has food to eat of which they know not. We need to grow in the purpose of God. Pause to think what is your purpose in life, where you are going in life and how do you achieve it. Where is the place where your full gifts can be used.
Joshua knew God's purpose for Him. The question is where he should start. After praying and meditating on His word, he came to an awakening experience to topple Jericho the stronghold of his life. Joshua 5:13-15. The things that happened to you seemed greater than any battles you have faced before. Things seems to get out of control. This was how Joshua felt. Till he encountered the Lord, he was extremely fearful and focus too much on man's opinion. But the minute he encountered the Lord, giants may seem dominant but his focus shifted to the Lord's command to take Jericho. Joshua 6:2-5.
We must know how to navigate in prayer to deal with the power of darkness that come against us. God gives him worship as weapons of warfare that grant him the victory over Jericho, a triumph of a lifetime. We must learn how to hear specifically from the Lord so that we will emerge victoriously. We must know the signs of the times as to when we should act or to stay. The love for the lost is breaking out in ways we cannot understand. The voice of the evangelist cries out to multitudes to get themselves saved. All types of hearing matters to win a deadly battle. Joshua has to resist his life before he could take possession of what was promised. God be praised.
Prayer: Thank You for the battles You are fighting alongside us to enlighten the power of darkness. May we be the light that shines in the darkness to give it life everlasting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
