Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:5-6 NIV. Wisdom comes upon those who are humble, faithful and meek in the Spirit. We are all created to be fruitful and multiply in the likeness of our creator on the earth as our prophetic destiny. Genesis 1:27. Our greatest struggle in this end of times will be pride. Satan is the father lies and pride. The demonic spirit of war, division, and deception is the cause of turmoil which we see so rampant in the news daily. John 10:10. An old minister told me that the only goodness in the news is the greetings, the rest are all bad. Therefore we desperately require the gospel of Jesus, our Good News and Shepherd to bring edification, exhortation and comfort to the soul.
Looking closer, all dysfunctions in homes and families were originated from pride. For Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud. Proverbs 16:18-19. Humility does nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility we value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:3-4. The most important to teach our children is humility in Christ and it begins with us as a son, husband and father. Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls, but those who would preserve their life stay far from them. Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:4-6 Praise God for His wisdom.
Prayers: O Lord my God, a contrite heart and broken spirit you will not turn away. I pray for your wisdom, knowledge and understanding daily to walk like Christ daily in my words, actions and attitude. Lead me away daily from the lust of my eyes, the lust of my flesh and the pride of life. Christ is my all in all, the author and the finisher of my faith, in Jesus Name, Amen.
