Today’s Inspiration: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2 NIV. Our late Rev. Alicia once taught us that the first part of our lives is our physical life and the latter part is our spiritual life. It depicts clearly that our wants changes in ages and stages. When we were young, we desire to have many things like money, position, and prestige but as we go through and grow through the turbulence of life, these things matters little especially when we come to know Christ. Our late mentor always taught us to live simple, and do what God has called us to do according to His will and not ours.
Jesus taught that where our hearts is where the treasure is. Matthew 6:21. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1. Make the Lord our personal pursuit, and you shall see new things begin to unfold in our lives and learning to serve a purpose greater than us. Jesus didn’t hold tight the things of the world but His mind was set on His Father’s work, the love of our salvation. John 5:19. In this new season, God can show you what He is working on in His Kingdom to bring new visions and purpose into your life. So pray and seek Him.
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are my Shepherd and you are all I need. Search my heart and if there are any fear, anxieties, stress, or worries, lead me to your dwelling place where your divine peace, goodness and loving kindness shall restore and revive my spirit, soul and strength. For your ways are higher than mine and your wisdom is higher than mine in Jesus' Name I shall put my trust, Amen.
