Today’s Inspiration: “And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.” James 2:23-24 NIV. Abraham was not just a man of faith but also man of actions. He obeyed God’s voice to leave the land of idolatry in Harran, to step in God’s promised land in Canaan. Righteousness is not about how good we are but how good God is in our lives. Righteousness is not earned but it credited by faith in Christ Jesus. It is our identity as the children of God. Abraham didn’t have to see the promised land to begin his journey because faith is the substance of what we hope for and the evidence of things unseen. And without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:1.
Our calling is determined not by our wisdom, knowledge or understanding. The calling of God in our lives is birthed through faith. Similarly to salvation by baptism of water and sanctification by the baptism of Holy Spirit, we are empowered by God through His Holy Spirit to do great things and exploits. Daniel 11:32. It’s our faith that forged our calling. Noah’s family was saved through his faith in building an Ark for an unseen flood, Joseph’s family survive through his faith in preparing grains for an unseen famine, and David’s family and assets was restored through his faith in the battle at Ziglag for an unseen battle. This is a supernatural season of faith for those take heed of His voice and be obedient to His commands. You may be applying for a new job, a new school, a new business or even a new ministry or mission. Pray, seek and sought the Lord in prayer and spirit, and when He speaks, move by faith. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me be filled with your Holy Spirit and fresh Fire once again. Move and quicken my heart by your wisdom, statutes and favour. Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you. Let me move once again by faith and not by sight, to encounter your supernatural provision, protection and production, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
