Today’s Inspiration: Happy Blessed Chinese Lunar New Year 2023 to all Trinitarians and families!
“May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.” Psalms 20:2-3 NIV. This is the first year after the Shmitah (Sabbath) year of the Lord, who blesses Israel and His people. All fields and grounds are reopening for plowing and sowing. This is also the year of the Sower in the Spirit. Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8 How does God remember your sacrifices? Be generous.
When Israel was facing the deep distress of the plague when seventy thousand men of Israel fell, David and his elders didn’t run or hide but turned to God in repentance and gave himself as a living sacrifice. The angel of the Lord led him through Gad his seer, to build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Arunah. Arunah the Jebusite wanted to give David with even more offerings to gain the king’s favour but David refused. He insisted on paying the full price and said,” I will not take for the Lord what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.” 1 Chronicles 21:24. Eventually the threshing floor became the Holy temple of the Lord this day for us to see and witness the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of our lives. Psalm 128:5 Sowing is an an inter-generation blessing of God. It changes hearts. Open heavens come from tithes and offerings with a cheerful and generous heart. Malachi 3:10. Sowing by faith breaks all selfish desires to walk unto godly desires. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, lead us to be generous and be led by your Spirit to be a sower, a lover, a planter and a builder of the Lord in 2023. May the Lord fulfil the desire of our hearts and make all our plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all the answers to our prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings, to have a fruitful, healthy and prosperous year 2023, in Jesus Name, Amen!
