Today’s Inspiration: “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?” Jeremiah 8:22 NIV. The land of Israel was attacked, plundered and wounded by the assyrians because of there were no more prayers at the altar of God, and many were becoming idol worshipers. Gilead means mountain and witness in Hebrew which represents power and prayer. Matthew 18:20. When we neglect our prayer life and the house of God, it opens the door and foothold for the enemy to come steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10
The prophet was sending a strong message of God to the Israelites on their negligence and root cause of sickness of the Nation, likewise the condition of our souls. Our soul is the Kingdom of God. Know this, our flesh is anti-prayer but our spirit is for prayer. This is spiritual warfare daily. Our flesh will always be resistant to love, repent and forgive because of the lust of eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. For anyone who loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them. 1 John 2:15-16 The Holy Spirit of God will always leads us into prayer, petition and thanksgiving unto God with the Word for God. We have to pray against idolatry for the House of God, our Nation and families.
Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me into a new season of prayer, petitions, and thanksgiving unto you. Do not cast me from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit always from me. Restore me with the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me in your healing, restoration and favour. For I am in the world and not of the world, and my first love is for my Abba Father God in Heaven, in Jesus Name, Amen.
