Today’s Inspiration: “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:24-25 NIV. A kingdom life is a giving life, different from the world. Many feel challenging or difficult to tithe or give because it is spiritual. It battles against flesh and the devil’s best weapon is causing you to have the fear of lack, insecure, and being self entered. A person’s value creation in life is not how much he or she has but how much he or she gives like the life of Christ, who gave it all at the Cross of Calvary that we can be redeemed from our sins, and be saved, transforming into His likeness.
Apostle Paul taught,” In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35. To the farmer, sowing breaks the fallow ground for it to harvest. In fact, sowing breaks the fear of lack in our spirit, soul, and body. Prophet Malachi prophesied,” Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.” Malachi 3:10-11. We are created by God to be a blessing, not just blessed. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, break all fallow ground in my life and my heart. Teach me how to give like you did on earth as it is in heaven. Let my life not just be about me but for others who are in need, sick, and down. Use me as an outpouring vessel of your love, grace and mercy. Fill me with a new and fresh giving spirit that will break all yokes of fear in lack and open up your floodgates that many will be blessed, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
