17 February 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” I John‬ ‭2:15.‬ One of the strongest weapon of Satan is Idolatry, the love of the worldly things. What would one gain the whole world but forfeit his or her soul? And what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matt 16:26 “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” I John‬ ‭2:16-17.‬ ‭

The truth of the gospel is that we can never give anything in exchange or our soul except the precious blood of Jesus Christ our saviour, the unblemished lamb and only begotten son of God, who died for our sins, iniquities and transgressions at the Cross of Calvary. Ps 49:8 Think about it if God gave his only Son Jesus Christ for the redemption of our soul, there is no other thing on the earth that is more valuable than one’s soul. Salvation is not possible without repentance and removal of all idols in our lives. Galatians 5:1. Idolatry is root cause of generational iniquities and is the strongest hindrance to our Worship of God alone. Exodus 20:5. Breaking idolatry breaks sicknesses, addictions, lusts, poverty and pride in our lives. If God is not having your heart, something else does and that’s idolatry. Worshipping God as a living sacrifice breaks all curses and brings new blessing, favour, peace into a victorious kingdom life. Worship with praises station and position us to be God’s witnesses of Him winning all our spiritual battles and dispelling all inward darkness. 2 Chronicles 20:22.

Prayer: O Lord my God, reveal to me the idols in my life and help me pull down all the strongholds. If there are any addictions or ungodly habits in my life, I break and loose them with the blood of Jesus. I repent of all my sins Lord, draw me near to you, and restore my soul in Jesus' Name, Amen.
