Today’s Inspiration: The hardest challenge in life is Humility. “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:10. Changes do not come easily unless one comes to the Cross of Calvary. Ironically, we all learn to humble in the storms of life be it financial difficulties, health problems or broken relationships.
“What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:1-3

God’s Wisdom was written in the proverbs that pride comes before a fall and the fear the Lord is humility, which brings wisdom, life and wealth. Prov 22:4 Humility always come before Honour like Christ who gave up all the splendour in heaven, humble himself to the Cross, to bring salvation to the lost. The Bible taught us to bear fruit of the Spirit, the character of Christ, in keeping with repentance. Matthew 3:8. When we are stress and anxious, we tend to get worked up easily and vent our anger to our love ones by blaming and arguing. Do we repent and humble ourselves for correction before God and seek forgiveness from family? Do we put others down and lift ourselves up? Or do we think of others better than us and to love one another. We have to remove pride in our lives through Christ, our Lord, saviour and redeemer.
Prayer: O Lord My God, forgive me of my pride of life and anger many times. Increase my faith to change and be more like you. Holy Spirit, help me to have more self control and to bear fruit to be a blessing to others, especially my family, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
