16 March 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” Psalms‬ ‭125‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Love, affection and intimacy with God builds trust in our lives. Many find difficulties to trust because they were hurt by love ones, rejected, neglected, betrayed or abused. Without trust we cannot build strong relationship with God and man. It is so delicate and yet powerful. Lack of trust comes from lack of intimacy and affection in one’s early life after birth.

Without trust, one can feel insecure, fearful and defensive in many ways. Healing comes when we put our trust in God personally, emotionally and mentally. Psalm 25:3. Trust goes beyond understanding and it doesn’t come from the mind but the heart which the Holy Spirit heals. Many have trust issues in life because of a broken heart. Proverbs 4:23. Only God can restore our trust in life through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ who love us beyond anyone could. For He heals the broken hearted and binding up their wounds. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6. Trust in God for He is able to build strong relationships in your life. It only when we are able to trust God in us, can we build trust in self and others.

Prayer: O Lord my God, in all things I will put my trust in you with prayers, petitions and thanksgiving in my heart. Give me faith to release forgiveness to those who hurt me or breached my trust. It’s no longer I who live but it’s Christ who lives in me to trust you with all my heart. Let thy peace that surpasses all knowledge and understanding governs my mind and heart. I break loose all the fears to trust and to receive fruitful and blessed relationships in my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
