Today’s Inspiration: “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.” Psalms 90:17 NIV. The favour of the Lord comes from our relationship with God. Ruth could only step into the Land and fields of Boaz because she was a woman of love and faithfulness unto God despite of hardship, trauma, and poverty. Ruth 1:16. God desires all of us to be fruitful and multiply because it is His nature and character to be bountiful, selfless and generous. But the carnal nature is self-centred, unfaithful and double-minded, which blocks the blessings of God. James 1:8.
There are two things that God weighs heavily which proverbs spoke,” Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 3:3-4. So do we have these two spiritual fruit in our walk with Christ? When our heart for God outweighs the desires for the world, divine favour and blessings shall flow out of sanctification, which renews our mind and we no longer conform to the patterns the world. Romans 12:2. Ruth was an extraordinary woman, whose character, faith and actions precedes her favour. Ruth 2:11. A good reputation always draws favour from God and man. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, May your favour rest upon me, establishing my house and my hands as I keep your love and faithfulness deep inside my heart. Holy Spirit, direct my steps and my words daily. For unless you build, my Lord, we labour in vain.
