15 November 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: Do not depart from the commands of the Lord given from His lips. Treasure the words of His mouth more than necessary food. Job 23:12. These were the words of advice spoken by Job in his pursuit of restoration of health. We tend to justify when we are in pain. God is a righteous God. His purpose, that needs to be unveiled will stand and till He recognised that you are responsible and ready to steward His resources made available to all who loved Him the testing continues. He is unique and unchangeable but moved only by your hunger, obedience and contrite spirit.

There is room for everything and we need to make room for the Holy Spirit in our life to be moulded, refined and realigned. He will perform what is appointed for you. V14. The instructions in scriptures are from His mouth and needs to be treasured and His words be laid up in your hearts for application in your life mission on Earth. Job 22:22. Your mouth is powerful. Whatever you declare, it shall be established for you. V28. Therefore, speak to your spirit what you desire her to possess. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21.

God has a message for you this morning that He desires to grant you success in whatever you do because your success means He is glorified. It depends on your attitude towards the task and from where you are praying for your goal. When you war from the attitude of defeat, you bound to suffer affliction but when you war from the heavenly court, your pathway be made straight and smooth.

Do not burn yourself out for if you do, you cannot perceive God's ways, the knowledge of Him and the direction He is heading. V8-9. It's only when you are at peace with Him that clarity comes in times of testings as it is in this moment we are desperate for His intervention. Job 23:10. There is no shortcut to breakthrough. Discernment of what He is doing and where He is going needs our determined and concerted effort to pursue. God be praised.

Prayer: Abba Father our strength is in You Lord so is our hope and hope will not disappoint us but will fulfill what we set out to do with gratitude. Therefore, let my ways be pleasing to You for You are my shield and my security to whom I trust faithfully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
