14 Sept 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: If the Lord delights in a man's ways, He will establish his steps, though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His righteous right hand. Psalm 37:23-24. The Psalmist says that even up to his old age, he had never seen the righteous forsaken nor God's children begging for bread. Those with a generous spirit will always be blessed. V25-26.

What an assurance in the midst of turmoil in our thoughts as we face the onslaught of the enemy day by day. God is indeed an author of our life who never allow His children to suffer.

Circuit breaker that shut us up in the home is the time to know the heart and deep thoughts of God. Moses had a difficult task ahead to deliver the huge population of Israelites who were unschooled, enslaved throughout their life and who knows nothing but pain and distress. Yet this did not deter him to retreat as he was not looking for rewards on Earth but the treasures in heaven. He knows the God he serves will not forsake him and will back him up on his calling. God sees everything from heaven what you are doing and at the end of our journey our book of life will be opened to us and what can we see? A time has come for us now to get rid of the thorns in our life that hinder us from our progress. Have we ever asked ourselves what we are doing with the knowledge we have acquired? Have we ever asked ourselves why we are bearing little or no fruit?

It's time to seek God for that still small voice to reveal our Spiritual infirmities and the light that shines our way. Sometimes we think we are pleasing to the Lord with our pursuit of activities to please God like Martha. She was not sensitive enough to discern that full reward is not in the success of our exploits but in the waiting upon the Lord for what He desires. She learnt the truth when Jesus showed her to be like Mary waiting upon the Lord for the nutrients in her life. Luke 10:41-42. Ruth was not anguished when she was met with the dilemma of poverty. She knows the Lord she served that Naomi spoke so much about. She chose the better path to follow the bidding of the Lord through Naomi rather than returning to the palace of Moab as she stand on the promises of God declared by Boaz that full reward will she receive by the God of Israel under whose wings she has gone for refuge. Ruth 2:12. With the promises in hand she possessed a family that she never would ever dream of. To God be the glory. Though things are difficult pursue the things that are above and not on Earth. Hebrews 12:2-3. So do not grow weary or lose heart as you focus your eyes on Jesus the author of your life. God be praised.

Prayer: Help me to make the right choice in life as I seek Your glory in this end days! Close my ears to the voice of the flesh and the voice of the enemy. It's You I serve and may I meet You with Your favor. Amen.
