Today's Inspiration: Luke 4:4 Jesus tells us that it is written that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. How much do we need the word of God daily? David prayed that his eyes be opened to the wondrous things from His law. Psalm 119:18. He said he delights in His statutes and will not forget His word. V16.

God's law is given to us firstly as a mirror that shows the character of God and our sinfulness as Peter repented before the Lord when he saw the huge catch with Jesus as Commander of his vocation. Luke 5:5-9. In his flesh, he caught nothing that morning.
Secondly it acts to restrain evil among people. A nation worthy of respect, commands respect more than rebellion. Thirdly it shows us what pleases God and guides us in our behavior. We are not saved by keeping the Law but it's God's redemption that empowers us to keep His moral law which reflects the character of God and how He has made us. Before we were born, we are sanctified by Him for a calling of a prophet. Jeremiah 1:5. Hence the minute we are born again, we must be sanctified by His m spirit to keep His law. God be praised.
Prayer: May the God of peace sanctify our inner man, our spirit, soul and body wholly unto Holiness that we might be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we reflect Your character always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
