11 November 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Building our personal prayer altar is a personal relationship with God. When we keep the fire burning in our prayers, the fire of the Holy Spirit keeps us burning. Matthew 3:11. We can come to church weekly but our altars can be broken and neglected like Israel at Mount Carmel. Coming back to church in this endemic is to remind us of our identity as a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV.‬‬

The revival of the Church comes through the revival of our Spirit which emerges through the desire of a fresh baptism of Holy Spirit. Apostle James spoke,” “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” James‬ ‭2‬:‭26.‬ You might not be aware that despite we are a generation with the most advance technology yet a generation that faces the most violent, perverse, sexual immoral, evil and covetous times. Jesus reminded us that the end of times and his second coming will be like the days of Noah. Matthew 24:37 Prayerlessness causes lukewarmness and lawlessness. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can bring intercession, sanctification, restoration and reconciliation with God. The end of times ministry will be a strong deliverance and sanctification movement because Christ is coming for His glorious, spotless and blameless Church. All things in the kingdom are mobilised by prayer. Let’s pray unceasingly for a spiritual revival and awakening for the Nations.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me not be lukewarm but be filled and revived with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Bring me back to my first love and first work that the zeal and passion of Christ for souls burns within my heart and spirit. Set me apart with your Word and for your Work and let faith and deeds be my portion daily as I build your altar, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
