Today‘s Inspiration: ”Jesus said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.“ Matthew 18:3 NIV. What Jesus meant wasn’t for us to become childish in our behaviour but rather childlike in our believe, trust and obedience to God’s word, will, and way. As we grow up in life, sin, abuses, and lies can harden our hearts and hurt us to become insolent, disobedient, and indifferent. That’s how Satan blinds the world using our carnal and flesh to block the truth of the gospel for salvation and sanctification. 2 Corinthians 4:4. It’s like a soul without the Spirit.
Healing actually comes from spiritual parenting by God, through His Word, discipline, correction and transformation. God uses the Ekklesia, the Church to bring divine change in a person’s character through the power of the Holy Spirit. Being born again is not becoming more religious or going to church regularly. It is being filled with the Spirit of God, who is Holy. What is lacking today in the church is not ministry but disciple making through discipleship. Are we humble, obedient and teachable? When we are a child our parent disciplines us but who does it when we grow up? Most of our adult waywardness comes from our childhood wounds. Only the Holy Spirit can give us a pure heart and clean hands like a child. Psalm 24:4.
Prayer: O Lord my God, father me according to your Word and discipline my flesh according to your Spirit. Bring me close to you Lord like a child who is vulnerable, dependent and desperate for your presence, protection, and peace. Let the cry of my heart be heard in the prayer censers of your altar. Create in me a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me to be like Christ who does the father’s will as a child of God, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
